Hydrochloric acid is obtained by 3 main methods: by reaction of gaseous hydrogen and chlorine, by reaction of alkali metal chlorites with sulfuric acid, as a byproduct during chlorination of organic compounds.
Acids produced by above mentioned methods meet the requirements of PN-91 / C-84046 and DIN EN 939 "Treatment of water intended for Human Consumption (Hydrochloric acid)".
Hydrochloric acid is used in chemical industry, production of textiles, pulp and paper, rubber, pharmaceuticals and household chemicals. It is also utilized in metal plating treatment and in water treatment process for regeneration of ion-exchange resins or as a pH adjuster.
